Q: For your final project, your directions were to choose one of three portrait styles, (mark-making, low-poly, or glitch) and digitally âweaveâ it with the original photo. What style did you choose and why?
A: For my final project I choose to do the mark making but choose to do 12 different levels so that it would look more detailed and more like the person. Not only that but I thought that the mark making one looked the coolest out of the three so I choose it to see what would happen since it was also so "Holey" or spaced out since the image is made all out of words instead of solid shapes.
Q: What tools did you primarily use for this project?
A: the tools i used to make the final project were the define brush tool, the regular brush tool and the gradient tool and selection tool.
Q:What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?
A: Some challenges i faced were creating the background and making it look like a galaxy and making sure all the layers look different but not too different so that it still look like a person
Q:In some cases, weaving two portraits together can be challenging because major details, like facial features, can become confusing or even lost in the process. Was this a challenge for you? Do you think you were successful with your weave technique? Why?
A: this was slightly a challenge because I had to make sure they looked the same and were aligned and also that it would transition well from one picture to another. I think I was mostly successful with my weave and that the transition between the two pictures looks well.
** Note: i created the background by wrping and using filters and usign the brush tool. I used a tutorial to help me create this background. It was difficult but fun to do! Link:
